 One of the Society's newest members, Robert Bone has been successful in being voted onto the BBC's 'Upstaged' show. The daily fate of the Contenders will lie with the 'upstaged' online community.
The Members will decide which acts make it through by watching their audition videos and voting for who they would like to see. The Contenders with the highest votes will go head-to-head on two specially built glass stages in the middle of Millennium Square, Bristol. Here, they will try to entertain the nation for 6 hours straight. Their attempts will be streamed online and filmed for a BBC Three highlights show. |

 Simon Williams took part in a Charity Auction & Talent Night in Wargrave on Saturday 8th December. The event was to help raise funds for the Church Youth Worker in Wargrave. There were 10 acts taking part including 2 bands, a juggler, tin whistle, spoons, singers and poetry reading. Following each act the tables had to vote 1-6 points, the scores being collated at the end. Simon gained first place overall and won a framed picture which was the programme design for the event. There were about 200 guests present, and the evening raised over £5000. |

 On Monday the 12th of November, our own Clive Winterton braved the judges at The Magic Circle to audition for his membership. Ian Souch reported this back in November, but the great news is that yesterday, the 4th of December, Clive received confirmation that his audtion was successful, and he has been elected to Membership of the Magic Circle (MMC).
I am sure everyone will wish Clive the best, and join in congratulating him when they see him next... Well Done Clive!! |

On Monday 12th November, Simon Alexander, Mo Weller and I went to watch and support Clive Winterton as he braved the judges at The Magic Circle for his membership. He started with a flash appearance of a coin, did a stunning coin wash to make it disappear and reappear. Followed swiftly on with crazy mans handcuffs and star gazer. His red hot momma is always very slick and smooth and finally he finished with ring on shoelace which had a great storyline full of Clive's good humor. I personally was very proud of Clive and his performance and this goes to show what talent our club hides. |
