This year's event will be held at the beautiful Sonning Golf Club on Friday 26th September 2008. 7.30pm for 8pm. The evening will include a sumptuous three-course meal, raffle prizes and the chance to catch up with friends and members of the Society. The Society has always prided itself on managing to book the best evening entertainment for this event, and it is with considerable pleasure that top of the bill for this year will be Mel Mellers. We have heard that Herb Zarrow (November 4, 1925-May 11, 2008) passed away this afternoon at the age of 82. Services will be held on Tuesday May 13th at 1:30pm at Temple Sholom (385 Howland Ave) in River Edge, New Jersey. Herb spent a lifetime exploring and creating magic with playing cards, coins, rubberbands, handkerchiefs, and ropes. He was the originator of many sleights and subterfuges including the Zarrow Shuffle. Herb was a member of Assembly #25 of the SAM for 54 years. His close friend Past National President Warren Kaps will perform the traditional 'Broken Wand' ceremony. Condolences can be sent to: Phyllis Zarrow, 5-28 Karl Street, Fair Lawn, NJ 07410.
