Martinka and Co is America's Oldest Magic Shop, and they regularly have auctions of magic items. Some very very hard stuff to find often turns up in Ted's warehouse in consignments, and he's helped me out on many occasions with hard to find or rare books. This months auction is a special one that includes a choice set of items that have been selected due to rarity, uniqueness or value. There is a buyers premium on the items, but for the serious collector its a much better option that things like eBay!!

Items are normally added throughout the auction, and it's worth getting a cup of tea and enjoying the end of auction fight off for the really rare stuff, I was bidding in a previous auction for some items, but bowed out when the item I was looking for started to head towards four figures.

Some of the note worthy items in this motnhs auction include a number of books owned by Vernon, inscribed to him, with additional handwritten notes against drawings and descriptions of effects, Al Flosso's trademark bowtie, an original Martinka Spirit Clock, a Thayer Barrel of Spirits, an Antique Mechanical Silk Pistol thought to have been used by Kellar, many photos, letters and postcards from Kellar, houdini, Chung Lin Soo and Hermann the Great. There is even, should the mood take you a life sized Harry Houdini Waxwork Figure.
