Normally Magic acts fair less than well on talent shows, and Northamptonshire Duo, Dean and Susan Metcalfe, otherwise known as the Deans of Magic are due to be on tomorrow's (Wednesday 28th) episode of 'Britain's Got Talent'. Not in itself noteworthy, however it seems that the couple's custom built illusion went up in smoke yesterday according to iTricks and the Northampton Chronicle and Echo. Dean, aged 46, also known by his stage name Carl Dean, said: "We've had a very stressful few months because we were having an illusion built for the show. It was going to be a levitation and it was very unusual because it involved water. However, it nearly caused a fire in the house." It leaves them very little time to come up with a new act for tomorrow's show which airs at 8:30pm, and each night at 8:30 on ITV1.
