This year's event will be held at the beautiful Sonning Golf Club on Friday 26th September 2008. 7.30pm for 8pm. The evening will include a sumptuous three-course meal, raffle prizes and the chance to catch up with friends and members of the Society. The Society has always prided itself on managing to book the best evening entertainment for this event, and it is with considerable pleasure that top of the bill for this year will be Mel Mellers. The Magic Woods is 'A Modern Magicians Forum' which has an active community, and runs regular open question and answer sessions with some of the worlds biggest names in magic. Run by Edd Withers, it's attracted a lot of excellent names as visitors, members and guests. I'm very proud to say that Edd has asked me to come on board to his management team and help further the forum, and of course share it's benefits with the Society. There are some exciting things that I hope to do with conjunction with The Magic Woods Forum over the next year. Recently The Magic Woods completed a Q&A session with Teller from Penn and Teller that ran for over a month. Other names that have frequented and openly discussed magic with the members are Ben Hart, Simon Drake, James Randi, Jeff McBride, Jason Palter, Dynamo, Angelo Carbone, Justin Miller, Michael Paul, Jay Sankey, Whit Haydn, Eugene Burger, Cardone, Zenneth Kok, Paul Zenon, Keith Pascal, Nathan Kranzo, Banachek, Paul Daniels, Daniel Garcia, Steve Dela, Luke Jermay, and Daryl.
