It is with huge sadness that we have learnt that Honorary member Ken De Courcy died this morning Aged 86. Dale Shrimpton and Practical Magic brought this to our attention. Ken had been on the magic scene for a huge amount of time, and will always be associated with editing Supreme's 'Magigram', a position he held for well over 20 years, and a friend of the Society. In addition, he contributed hugely to every magical magazine, was a prolific author, wrote numerous magical routines, was an all-round entertainer, and one of the kindest people you could hope to meet. The Society sends our thoughts and condolences to his wife, Sue, and family. Funeral arrangements: Monday August 4th 2pm at The East Riding Crematorium, Langtoft, East Yorkshire YO25 3BL Tel 01377 267604 Family flowers only but donations to Foxholes Village Hall Committee which can be sent care of Sue (de Courcy) Tyler. Sue said that she has chosen this as they are desperately trying to raise funds to build a new village hall and Ken and herself enjoyed doing the magic at their fund-raising events, it gave Ken a lot of pleasure too
