The Sorcerers Apprentice returns on the 25th of January to UK BBC Two. The show returns 'bigger than ever', with twelve novice magicians competing in the toughest contest of their lives the the series presented by Ortis Deley.

Like the previous series, sorcerers arrive at magic school and are immediately thrown in at the deep end. They have just two days to perfect their first magic subject, a trick with animals, before two of them will be eliminated from the contest.

The first series suffered from some accidental exposure whilst the kids made mistakes while learning tricks. This series moves away from that with more careful editing. New special guest magicians will again appear throughout the series.

Both Series Two and Three were filmed together, with series Three airing late Summer. Viewers can catch the first episode on 25th Jan 2009, 9:00am on BBC Two.
