We have heard that Tony Russell has passed away. Some members will know Tony for his Pennywise magic company; suppliers of silks.

Tony was an active member of our neighbouring society, the Magicians of Basingstoke, acting as secretary and finally President of their society.

Tony had been ill for some time, but recovered slightly before his illness took a turn for the worst within the last few months.

Our society would like to pass on our condolences to his friends, family and the Basingstoke society, for which he worked so hard.

The funeral is now confirmed as:

17th June 2010, 11am at St. Thomas of Canterbury Church, Worting, Basingstoke.

Everyone is welcome at the service, and there will be a gathering afterwards at the Conservative Club, Bounty Road. The family have requested Family flowers only, but  donations for either Cancer Research or MacMillian Trust can be forwarded to: Alexander and Dry, 1 Seal Road, Basingstoke, Hampshire.
