Members will be aware that Sean Lobban, a magician from the Portsmouth and District Magic Circle, is arranging to walk from Portsmouth to London via Southampton, Winchester, Basingstoke, Reading and Windsor to raise money for the Anthony Nolan Trust, which is a charity saving the lives of leukaemia patients through bone marrow transplants.
The HCMS Council is giving it's support to this venture and intends to hand over a presentation cheque to the Trekkers when they arrive at our society on the 8th May. If you would like to sponsor member Robert Bone, or simply make a donation to the Anthony Nolan Trust through the HCMS, please use the 'Donate' button below. Sponsorship for Rob Bone is now closed on the site, you can sponsor the walk directly by visiting: www.anthonynolanevents.org.uk/magictrek
It is hoped that members will donate generously to this very worthwhile cause. Sean will be accompanied all the way by five other magicians from the Portsmouth society and will be joined en route by other magicians walking for one or more legs of the journey. They will visit magic clubs and societies on the way. HCMS member Robert Bone is walking part of the way.The Magic Trek will start at Portsmouth on the 5th May and finish in London on the 10th May. They will reach Reading on Friday, 8th May calling in on the HCMS late afternoon/early evening. Watch this space for details of arrival time and venue.
