Advertising on The Home Counties Magical Society Website means that a banner of your choice (including animated banners) is displayed in on the Society's site, meaning that you can post information about special offers and new products on the site.

Your banner is displayed in highly visible areas, throughout the site, placing it in a position that is both prominent and easy for people to click on them.

Advertising on the site costs £5 a month for unlimited impressions and will be displayed on a rolling basis (each page will display a new banner from a separate client), and is payable easily by PayPal subscription.Using PayPal Subscription means you can cancel at any time. If you wish to sign up for a YEARLY subscription, we offer one month free of charge (£55 per year).

We feel that this is a fantastic price for what you get, and extremely competitive than many other advertising rates on line.

To advertise simply use the Subscription and Cancellation Form to set up your subscription. A £5 a month is fee is then paid by PayPal, and your advertising begins as soon as you have subscribed, and have sent us your banner.

If you banner is larger, we can also resize it for you. Animated GIF's are allowed, but we do not currently accept Adobe Flash banners. You must also supply the URL or website address that you would like the banner to click through to.

Your banner will remain in rotation with the other advertisers in various places on the site, until you cancel your subscription, or we cancel it.

If you are still unsure about placing a banner ad onto the site, it is worth considering why you might place an ad with us. Banners on the site aren't always about clicks to your website, these can come naturally if the ad catches the attention of the reader. With The Home Counties Magical Society Website your banner is like a billboard by the side of a road, it helps to get your brand name into people's minds.

Our banners are shown at the top of each article on the site, and we are working to define the placement of the ads to help you, the advertiser get more awareness on the site. Of course if your advertising doesn't work out or you change your mind, you can cancel at ANY time, as you are charged monthly and can simply cancel your monthly payments. This also means there is no big risk to trying out a one month trial.

Terms and Conditions

Banner adverts must be submitted in jpg or gif format, and are available to anyone offering a shop, dealership or retail service to the magic community (this includes magazines and publications, single effects, on-line shops, and conventions). The Banner Ad program is not currently available to members offering services (for instance you cannot currently advertise your show or services as a paid magician). Adverts can be changed as often as required (within reasonable frequency) during the period paid for.

All Banner Adverts must be relevant to the magical community or it's associated arts, and must be in line with the guidelines and professionalism of the Society and its Members. The click through from the banner must direct to a site that is owned and approved by the advertisement placer, and should not be changed after placement to direct to unsuitable content. The Society reserves the right to refuse applications for advertising, and to withdraw or place on hold without notification any advertisement that contravenes these Terms and Conditions. All advertisements must comply with the British Code of Advertising Practice, and must not contain material or links to any sites containing material that is defamatory, obscene, offensive, abusive, racist, threatening, menacing, harassing, indecent, or in breach of confidence, copyright, privacy or any other rights. The Society will not be liable for any loss caused by error, late publication or the failure of an advertisement to appear from any cause whatsoever.

The Society cannot be held responsible for content outside the Society site directed to by use of the banner ads, any items or products purchased through these banner ads is a contract between the buyer and the company brought from, the Society will not enter into discussions or disagreements between the buyer and seller. Any errors, omissions, misleading or otherwise incorrect advertising is outside the control of the Society, and it cannot be held responsible in any way for advertisers products, services, pricing, or practices.
